50 Affirmations For Self-Love

Saying affirmations are one of my absolute favourite things to do when it comes to practicing self-love (or anything really). There are a few reasons why I love affirmations so much.

For starters, they are almost too easy to mix into your internal dialogue. It does not require a huge amount of time to quickly say a few kind affirmations to yourself, whether that is quite literally saying them out loud to yourself or simply repeating them to yourself in your mind. You essentially just have to say (or think) them! Bonus points for saying them out loud – I find this approach to be extra powerful.

Secondly, affirmations are a great place to start when it comes to practicing self-love on a regular basis because they don’t necessarily need to be true in order for you to start practicing them. Affirmations can reflect where it is you want to go, how you eventually want to feel about yourself, or a manifestation that you have for your self-love. When we are starting to implement self-love practices, it typically is not because we are feeling overly abundant in our own self-love but rather because we want to increase and improve our self-love. As such, saying “I am someone who deeply loves myself” may not *feel* true when you first say it, however, just saying it can help rewire some of those limiting beliefs you currently hold about your self-love. Affirmations don’t have to be true when you start to use them in regular practice, but with repetition, they will eventually feel very real.

Lastly, something I adore about saying affirmations is how easy it is to make affirmations that are specific to ourselves. Even the list of 55 affirmations I’ve written below can be applied, in some way, to something specific in your life. If not, I am positive that they can spark some inspiration for an affirmation (or several) that you can create specifically for yourself.

Now that we have discussed a few of my favourite things about affirmations, let’s dive into the juicy part of this blog post!
